Drift Skates – A New Challenge

Drift Skates – A New Challenge

Whether you’re into skateboarding or not, a new challenge awaits you this summer.

Drift Skates are the result of a romantic liaison between a skateboard and a pair of inline skates.

Each skate is essentially a metal plate with two skate wheels mounted in a line underneath. The plate has a grippy surface so you can jump straight on and start skating, without the need to remove your shoes, or put on any special footwear.

If you’re not familiar with drift skates, take a look at the video below which gives you a good idea of what these skates are capable of. This is Mattie Tyce the daddy of Freeline drift skates.

Drift skates are not a new invention, and brands like Freeline and FeiFan have been around for a few years. However, until now it has been difficult to find a pair of new skates for under $100 which makes it an expensive sport to get started with.

Drift Plates are a new brand of drift skates, perfect for novice or younger drift skaters, and available for under $60. The lower pricing point makes the sport much more accessible to children and younger teens.

Drift plates are suitable for children aged 8 years and up, cost around $60 and are available from Toys R Us and Amazon.
