Floppets – New Wearable Collectibles
Hold on to your wallets – there’s a new collectible craze coming.
Tired of finding stickers on your walls, or trading cards strewn across the carpet?
Take a look at Floppets. They’re number one attraction to parents is that you can attach them to your child, which means you won’t be endlessly picking them up off the floor.
The squishy characters are attached to a small velcro strap so your child can wear them, or stick them just about anywhere they like, without leaving behind a pin-hole or gluey residue.
They cost $2 or £2 each (yes I am aware how much that conversion rate sucks for the British).
To date they have sold around 350,000 units in the UK and the range includes pets, sports and monster themed characters.
What’s really made me take notice though (besides the packet of freebie Floppets I received) is that they have just signed a licensing deal with Nickleodeon, enabling them to produce Dora the Explorer, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Spongebob Squarepants Floppets for release later this year.
Floppets are available throughout the UK and US through major chains and independent retailers.
