New and improved for 2011, Hasbro have just released the Ultimate Easy Bake Oven.
Earlier models worked by using an incandescent light bulb to heat up the cake mix, but from next year those bulbs will be unavailable.
Hasboro, unwilling to see a popular classic toy become redundant, have redesigned the toy oven that really bakes to incorporate a heating element.
Suitable for kids aged 8 years and up, the new Easy Bake can be used to bake sweet or savoury treats.
The oven comes with a baking pan, cupcake pan, pan pusher, chocolate chip cookie mix, red velvet cake mix, pink frosting mix, rainbow sugar crystals package, paper cupcake wraps and instructions/recipe booklet.
It is priced at $50 with extra tools and replacement packet mixes are also available to buy separately.
The oven is a great way to encourage children to learn about how food is made, and gain confidence in preparing their own snacks in a safe and controlled way.
