Perfect Presents for Little Princesses

Perfect Presents for Little Princesses

Toy Tattle takes a look at some of the hottest new Princess toys for Christmas 2012.

Disney Princess

An enormous and rapidly expanding toy line. For the older girls (4 years and up), there are dozens of princess dolls and playsets to choose from. Two of the toys widely tipped to be popular this Christmas, are:

Cinderella’s Transforming Carriage, £55

and Swirling Lights Cinderella, £25.

Fisher Price have launched a Disney Princess castle, called the Little People Song Palace, £50, with features and figures perfectly proportioned for toddlers’ hands.

And Duplo have also developed a Disney Princess line, featuring a variety of sets across a range of prices. The largest set is the Duplo Cinderella’s Castle, £40.

Playmobil Magic Castle and the Fairies range

Lauched this Summer, the Playmobil Magic Castle range features, princesses, fairies, treasure and palaces – just about everything a girl could wish for.

The largest playset in the range is the huge, detailed Magic Castle, £130. I had the opportunity to play with one of these earlier in the year and I was impressed with the number of features and that the colour-scheme was feminine without being garishly pink.

If your budget won’t stretch to the castle, do check out the range anyway as there are plenty of other equally beautiful playsets to choose from.

Animagic Princess Pet

Animagic Princess Pets, £10 are a range of small plush toys that make cute animal noises, and have glow-in-the-dark pink tiara on their heads.

Barbie The Princess and the Popstar

The Barbie: The Princess and the Popstar film was launched directly to DVD in September 2012. There is a new range of dolls based on the characters available now, and the Light Up Musical Castle, £50, will be out soon.
