Scooby Doo Toys | my guide to the limited selection

Scooby Doo Toys | my guide to the limited selection

For such a popular TV show, Scooby Doo has a pretty lame toy range.

Scooby Doo toys – limited choice :(

My boys love Scooby Doo, but finding toys featuring Scoobs and the gang is really difficult.

I’ve done some research and thought I’d pass on my knowledge to the rest of you bewildered parents, wondering where you can buy Scooby Doo toys.

As with all hard-to-find toys, Amazon and eBay are good places to look.

But before you embark on your search, you need to read my guide, so you know the names of the toys you are looking for, and a rough idea as to what is a fair price to pay.

Scooby Doo Action Figures

Mystery Mates Action Figures

There is a range of Scooby Doo action figures, called Mystery Mates.

The figures are 5 inches tall each and have moveable joints.

Suitable for ages 3 years and up.

You should expect to pay around $5 for 2 figures.

The figures are compatible with the Mysery Mates playsets (see below).

Scooby Doo Playsets

Mystery Mates Pirate Fort

There are four Mystery Mates playsets available to compliment the action figures

  • Mystery Mansion – $40
  • Pirate Fort – $40
  • Goobusters Mystery Machine – $30
  • Goo Stunt Set – $15.
  • When you are shopping for these playsets, take time to read the customer reviews.

I don’t have any of these sets personally, so I can’t offer an opinion, but it is worth noting that these toys are not high scorers on customer feedback.

You may want to consider spending your money on plenty of action figures, and then let your kids create their own play scenes from other toys, or even crafting them from junk.

    Highest Rated Scooby Doo Toys

    Scooby Doo Board Game

You can benefit from the experience of other parents if you read their reviews left in the customer feeback section of the product page.

Board games, and plush toys score consistently good ratings on Amazon.

Take a look especially at the Scooby Doo Pop N Race, a simple board game for kids aged 5 years and up.
